Traditions – Day 7

Hey guys,

This post is going to be about traditions. I don’t want to offend anyone, so this will only be about my traditions.

When I think of traditions, the first thing that I think of is whenever I go to Atlanta, Georgia with my family to visit more family, we always go to this one restaurant called Sweet Tomatoes. We’ve done this ever since I was really young and maybe before I was born when my parents went there.

The second thing that comes to mind is on every night of Chanukah (I’m jewish, if you didn’t know) my family always places bets to see which candle goes out first or last (I can’t remember, woops!). As jews, we are supposed to leave the candles burning until they run out themselves. The race is too see which candle goes out last, but sometimes, we aren’t in the room to see which one goes out first, so we just say Oh well! and that’s the end of it… for that night, at least.

Other traditions that I partake in are going to temple on the high holidays and eating chinese food on Christmas Eve and then going to the movie theater afterwards because that’s all that’s open.

What are some traditions that you have? Are there any that include holidays?

Happy Holidays
